Baby Aven

Well, since I haven't updated our blog since the week before we got married, I thought it was time. Our newest addition, Aven Grace was born 9/2/11 at 3:51am weighing 6pm 9oz and 20in long. After 33 hours of labor (thank God for epidurals), she entered the world happy and healthy! She dominated the Apgar with a "9" and since we were assured that "no one gets a '10'" we were happy with that :). She was born on a Friday morning, and since everything was going well, we were able to bring her home Saturday just in time for her first Husker game! She is now 3 weeks old, and I can't believe how fast time is flying. She had a bit of a hard time getting back to her birth weight, but is now eating like a champ and getting bigger every day! Though sleep deprivation is setting in, we are loving being parents and are having so much fun with our little angel.

Counting down!

In anticipation of our new family, I got a little excited, jumped the gun, and started a premature blog. Troy and I are not technically the Richard family yet, and though27 days is NOT a long time, it feels like an eternity! We can't wait. This is basically my test blog; my first post. Pretty sure no one will see this, but...I'm practicing :)
